My name is Kevin O’Connor, I’m a writer/teacher living in Galway, Ireland; St. Cyprien, France; Lampang, northern Thailand; Tunis, Tunisia; London, England. I edited the student newspaper in the National Universty of Ireland, Galway and ran the website www.sin.ie while doing my masters degree in journalism. I then lived in a small village on the south coast of France for six months before travelling and working in Thailand for a year ( I spent most of my time teaching English, Maths, Science and Social Studies at a private school), when the Arab revolution broke out in Tunisia, I decided to travel there to work as an English teacher while experiencing life in a newly democratic country, I lived there for six months, deciding to leave once the Islamic right wing began to take hold of the public consciousness and am now living in London since March 2012.
I have had numerous articles and short stories published in local and national newspapers and magazines. I am interested in film, literature, music, media, current affairs, good conversation as well as the Epicurean delights that comes with a lifetime spent in dark rooms with loud noises and other people.
